Glenda is very soft spoken, makes you feel heard, and really tries to get to know you. Her technique helps you figure out what you need to do. She doesn’t tell you what to do, she asks you questions and as you think of the answers, you get those “aha” moments and realize what your next step is. She’s very patient and explains things thoroughly. You start seeing yourself in a different and better light. She’s a joy to work with. More like a professional friend that wants the best for you.
I cannot describe the words how much I appreciate Miss Glenda’s session. She made me dig deep within myself to understand my own worth that was laying deep inside me. Ms. Glenda makes sure that you do the work. She does not give you the answer so easily, but once you start doing the work, you really discover your best quality about yourself. Once Ms. Glenda guides and helps you through the process, you honestly get gratification from these sessions. This was the best session I had in years. I am so honored to be a part of this journey and cannot wait for more sessions in the future.
Through our Personal Leadership Development series, we strive to help young people participate in global spaces with confidence. By focusing on character strengths, Glenda empowered our high school and university students to identify their unique talents and to understand that continual growth is within their power. Glenda’s facilitation of the series created a positive mindset shift in our students, helping them to engage in a self- assured manner in our program. As expressed in their reflections, they have already begun to apply these tools in other aspects of school, work, and life.
Over the past 20 years, I have collaborated with Glenda in a variety of roles. I coached her as a classroom teacher in the New York City public schools, as a teacher leader who invited other educators into her classroom, and as a mathematics coach/consultant. In each of these roles, Glenda was willing to continually learn and grow and her dedication to self- improvement was inspiring to those around her. She is a person of great passion and some of these passions were a driving force in her learning, commitment, and ability to inspire those around her.
One of Glenda’s greatest passions is social justice and I have witnessed how she used this fire to advocate for her students and to teach them how to think, communicate, and advocate for themselves. Her teaching practice was so exceptional that I hosted a number of learning communities in her classroom where I brought other educators in to witness her in action. One comment made by a visiting teacher has always stuck with me–in awe, this teacher said, “how did you get your students to speak like this?” These were students of the disenfranchised and yet, in Glenda’s classroom, they spoke with the belief that they mattered, that their ideas mattered and that they could communicate with anyone and be understood.
Glenda is that rare human being–she actually walks her talk! She is a person of enormous talent which she has used to inspire anyone who is fortunate enough to enter into her sphere. Glenda has exemplary communication skills; she knows when to listen, when to nurture, and when to challenge. She has mastered the art of feedback; she knows when and how to give it and has enough self-awareness to know when to be silent.
Working with Audacious Inner Works Institute, Glenda, and her team has been phenomenal. Glenda is driven, positive, and heartwarming! Together, we covered pre-planning, post- session debriefs, and the quality and content of the professional development that was to be delivered. A key goal that I wanted AIW to accomplish was for my staff to be a cohesive and understanding group that was there for each other and most importantly, for the children we serve. The professional development had a positive impact on my staff and school culture. I observed and valued staff connecting with each other, engaging in problem-solving about how to be a community school, and staff generating ideas post-session to work for improvement. I look forward to continuing the partnership with AIW & Glenda to achieve the goals of our community school. I highly recommend her well-planned PDs to other schools and organizations.
Superb! I am sincerely grateful to have met and coached with Glenda Francis. I will highly recommend her to any of my friends or family. Additionally, I know I will utilize her services again. When you find someone exceeding in excellence at what they do, there is no need to look further. Glenda has a way of, “Hitting the nail on the head.” I’ve had many “Ah ha!” moments with Glenda during our coaching sessions together. Not everyone can help unravel or simplify the not so simple things for you in the way that Glenda has and it has helped me tremendously. Glenda takes the time to follow-up every session with a complete summary. It’s a great contribution to the work she does with you. I have a journal with all the highlights to reflect-upon and to use tools I’ve learned over and over. As well, Glenda’s coaching services include regular mini breakthrough sessions and contact that assure support. Glenda’s integrity, professionalism, pleasant nature, enthusiasm, and support, abounds. In a word, Glenda, is a gem, and her coaching services offer great value.
Glenda is calm, collected, and thorough in her coaching practices and she gives very valuable insights and perspectives with regards to your statements or ideas. What I really enjoyed about the sessions are that she helped me drive the sessions, her questions are organized and helps very well direct the conversations. She knows how to bring the conversation back to the topics being discussed at hand instead of going off on a tangent without any idea of navigating it correctly. I always had a fulfilling session with Glenda and had a lot to take away from them. I have seen quite a change in my thinking with the topics we discussed during the sessions. I am truly thankful for having met Glenda and being able to use her services when I was looking for a coach. Thank you so much Glenda. I appreciate you.
I was going through a major career transition after moving to New York. Glenda guided me through when I felt really stuck and discouraged in life. She introduced to me the concept of “critical moment in learning” (I believe it is education theory) which allowed me to accept and evaluate my own experiences to further develop and solidify my foundation. She is an incredibly active listener who is open and compassionate. She will also give you practical guidance to move forward with. I absolutely recommend Glenda and her coaching service to anyone who is seeking to grow in their own directions for success.
I have known Glenda Francis since college, well over 25 years. She is and has always been a gifted, thoughtful, authentic, and amazing teacher and woman. Her life’s mission has always been to improve the lives of others. Back then, she worked with school kids; today, she works with adults as a Life Coach. Glenda is serious about what she commits herself to and passionate about helping others evolve and improve their lives. On a personal level, Glenda has pushed me in looking at my patterns, supported me in dissecting what they mean, and recognizing when they negatively influence my life. These have been my biggest revelations to date, and Glenda has been and continues to be a huge support to me in my evolution. If you are SERIOUS about doing this work, Glenda is the person you need in your corner. She will push you to dig deeper, help with the difficult work of discovering what you don’t know about yourself, and develop the necessary tools to change your life. What else can I say—she’s amazing and awesome!!!
