Strengthening Communication & Collaboration for Educators
PS 198 | New York City Public School
AIWI designed a customized engagement with PS 198, combining leadership coaching, team coaching, and whole-staff professional learning. Working across multiple levels of the school community, the approach connected individual development with the relationships and team practices that shape how educators work together.
Through guided reflection, facilitated dialogue, and interactive challenges, we explored communication styles, examined responses to stress, and experienced team dynamics firsthand. These activities moved learning beyond discussion, allowing participants to practice new approaches, navigate challenges together, and consider how to apply their insights in everyday practice.
GREATER SELF-AWARENESS
Educators developed a deeper understanding of their communication patterns, responses under stress, and the impact of their behavior on others.
STRONGER CONNECTIONS
Participants gained new perspectives on how trust, dialogue, and mutual understanding help navigate differences and strengthen professional relationships.
